do you have arouter?
and if you do, maybe thats why, you could try to configure it , or resert..
if not
when you connect your computer you should go to tcp/ip "propertie" and optain ip address,
or right click on the icon on the botom right hand where it shows you that your connected or not,
and click repair..

1. Are you using wireless or wired?
2. If you are using wireless, does your network show up under available wireless networks?

Have you tried restarting your router?

is the network working / on?

if so, go to internet properties, connections, and try putting the same details as a working machine. otherwise, try ticking the 'automatically detect setting' under lan.

has your ip changed / in the same range as the other computers?

If you're using wireless, and ti says it can't connect to any wireless networks, right click on the icon in the system tray and do repair.

If you have a wired connection, try another port on the router.
