I have been getting a huge amount of spam mail recently and I want to know how do I get it to stop?

Once your email address is on the lists that spammers use, it's damn near impossible to stop getting spam. What do you use to check your email? There are usually options you can set to help reduce the amount of spam you actually see and have to deal with, but they are specific to each email service or client.
I would also suggest you read our guide Simple Spam-Reduction Techniques for Non-Geeks. It could help you get less spam in the future.

Mozila Thunderbird and Microsoft Outlook 2003 (and I think Netscape) have junk mail filters.
