Why won't myspace load at work?

we have a t1 line at work. I've never had a problem w/any other website loading right up on my computer until now, and I can barely ever pull up any page at myspace.com. I am not an "administrator" so I haven't been able to make many changes on my internet options. I go to any myspace page including www.myspace.com and it will take over 10 minutes to load the page, it will not look right as in teh graphics are all messed up. I am a big web surfer but not a web programmer or real computer literate beyond the basics. I dont want to ask the IT guys here b/c it seems like a really stupid thing to bother them with as they are really busy. any settings or anything I coudl check would be helpful!

If it is only one site, then it is probably the site that is slow or the connection to the site, which means that it is nothing you or your tech team is going to be able to fix... so it's kind of a mixed blessing... you can't fix it... but there's nothing wrong on your end either...  well, i guess it's not so mixed.... oh well.

You answered your own question. But yeah, chances are there's nothing that can be done. Sometimes on my 3mbit connection MySpace runs slowly. It all depends on the time you access them. Certain times during the day, MySpace is really bogged down.

To me it's just odd b/c I NEVER have any trouble loading it at home on my cable modem. Ever. I can be at work and it won't load, go home (5 min away) for lunch and it pops right on up. We have a similar problem w/Yahoo sites here too. My coworkers think its' some sort of conspiracy by the powers that be to keep us from going to places they don't want us to go, but no other websites are blocked (even ones that should be!) and they don't care if we play games online between calls (customer service)
Hmmm, bummer, b/c I love myspace.

from what you're saying... it's probably nothing that you can affect.... iff it's only a few websites, there's probably a problem between your computer and their web server... this could be a proxy anywhere in between and you have no way of knowing.... I guess my advice would be to use it from home if it works from there.
