Comdex Starts

The COMDEX Exhibition started today and runs until November 16 in Las Vegas. You can find out what is happening from the Comdex website.
Of course, they have Bill Gates making the keynote speech this year. Bill feels there are failings with the current PC design. Maybe he will endeavor to provide us with a new standard for the personal computer. We could use the Xbox for starters.
Security has been exceptionally tight. C|Net News reports incredibly long lines at the metal detectors. Laptops are allowed, but laptop cases and bags are not. Neither are backpacks.
In other news, speculation suggests the console wars may heat up to an extreme. People are expected to stay home more and spend more money on home entertainment.
