Grrrr all my brothers are going to live somewhere else and they are taking their computers with them .... We've got 1 computer left, pentium III with windows xp
Now the thing is the computer is terrible slow, too slow for a pentium III...
Any suggestions on how to get my computer faster again?

disable some of the xp services you dont need. many guides are available online which will give you recommendations.

Why not upgrade to a Pentium 4 or even an AMD

I'm 15 years old and I have no clue how to do that =)
I just want to make that computer faster, because it's really hard to work on it...

Download SIS Sandra. Use the Fine tune wizard module to determaine what unnessisairy services you can shut down.

Then Go: START + RUN.
In run, type: msconfig.
Then, shut down what Sandra says is o.k.
reboot.

Defrag your harddrive!
Run a couple of anti spyware softwares.

Learn, to build a PC. It's so easy, even you at 15 should manage doing it, if you read some about it.
Get a PCI Express / AMD rig.

and where do you see if sandra finds it ok to shut it down? (can't find it lol)

Look at the bottom of the list, when Sandras Wizard is finished. Under "Tips".
