11 shots into this fantastic bottle of vanilla flavored rum (ie: there's so much vanilla it may as well be anything but rum) I find myself poised to ask this fabled question!
What sort of alcohol consumes you? What do you suggest to the budding alcoholic that I have become?
I would make this very witty and hilarious but I don't think I have it in me.

well, being a fluff chick, i like the fruity concoctions. pineapple rum (mixed with other stuff) is quite fruitily intoxicating. the flavored vodkas are also scruptious.

If you like vanilla rum, vanilla vodka (I recommend Stoli or Absolut) and ginger ale is delicious.

I'm not bragging, because it's not somethign to brag about, but I'm fairly confident that I may be the biggest alcoholic on these boards. Hell, i'm drinking a Golden now haha
For your question, I drink lots. Beer is great, captain is my best friend, and whiskey is what turns me into a hostile gerbil. Good stuff though. You can ask AK about my alcoholic adventures, they are top notch. For yourself, i'd recommend getting away from the fruity stuff, those drinks can be expensive and cause a hurtin in the morning from all the sugar involved. If you do want a fruity ass drink though, try one of my faves. Fuzzy Leprechaun: Shot Ketel One, Shot Peach Schnopps, Shot of Pineapple juice, and a splash of Blue Curacao. Have it on the rocks or up as a martini if you wanna play it classy.

Remember, fellow alcohol drinkers... drink the best liquor you can afford! Your chance of hangovers will be greatly decreased! That stuff on the top shelf at the store is expensive for a reason.

hey heres a question, as i dont drink much ive never actually tryed these... do those "chaser" pills actually work? you take them before you start drinking and then supposedly you dont get hangovers

holy jesus, never again.
I have a vivid recollection of at least fifteen minutes of being sprawled out on the concrete of my porch, throwing up in three specific places, in some kind of lovecraftian summoning ritual.
I then passed out at some point, waking up just a few moments ago. I hope I didn't throw up in here in my stupor, I can't quite get the smell of vomit out of my senses, maybe it's on my clothes. I hope it's on my clothes. I'm going to have a tough time cleaning up outside, I don't want to think about in here.
Mystery solved, it was IN MY NOSE! 
The mystery of my typing is easy to explain, I am apparantly a compulsive grammarfiend. I was botching sentences something good by the time my monitor started hurting my face, but I kept backspacing until I got it mostly right.
I've managed to avoid the hangover police, so far anyways.

Thee, I had a friend who used to take those and he said they work great. I've never done so myself but I also very very rarely get a hangover.
Water is where it's at though. Be smart when you drink alot. Drink a glass of water before you sleep, and when you wake up have one as well, it'll help ALOT.

I was a bigtime whiskey drinker for many years. And a cold Bud was my breakfast of choice! Last one was about three years ago...been clean and dry ever since. Not that drinking is a bad thing.

Mmmm alcohol.
I am a big beer drinker, althought I don't mind taking on hard alcohol. I like Souther Comfort and Jack Daniels, take shots of those like crazy. Nothing is better then straight soco or with a little lime. I hate captain Mo, or anytime of spiced rum. I took a few shots of it this weekend with my friends and blah, just dont like it. Every time I drink we dont agree. I drink vodka at times, but being a poor college student those $10 handles sure don't taste good. Althought, putting it throught a brita system a few times makes it a little better.

Anybody know a few "festive" drinks? Having a little Halloween bash of sorts and we're looking around for interesting drink ideas to try. Anything involving vodka or rum would be nice. Still working out the list but Vodka is definately on there and possibly Jager. I'm currently looking through my little bartender's bible for ideas but I haven't founrd anything that's really caught my eye yet :/

Well, I drank a lot last night. I ended up getting drawn all over with toothpaste, lipstick and marker, plus some nail polish sloppily slathered onto four of my fingers and both thumbs. I also (apparently) went on some sort of mystikal journey into the wild netherlands. All in all it was a good night, my friend woke me up in the morning and brought me to the mirror so I could see the damage of my misfortune.

I have many different mixed drinks that I like to mix for people.....
1. Redbull + Vodka... this is my absolute favorite... I started drinking these before Red Bull hit it big in the bars in the midwest....
2. Malibu Rum + Orange juice/Pineapplejuice
3. Pineapple Rum + Sweet/Sour mix for amaretto sours (My GF loves this)
4. Hypnotiq + Orange Juice
5. Gold Schlager + Apple Cider (drink this warm.... its soo awesome for the holidays)
6. Pineapple Rum + Vanilla Vodka + Pineapple juice + Orange Juice
7. 2-3 shots of Commodore Morgan (I promoted him for spending soo much time with me) + 1 full bottle of mikes hard lemonade
8. Parrots Bay + Pineapple Mango juice
9. When I am really hating my stomach I drink a 50/50 mix of hennesey and Hypnotiq
I usually stck with beer.... Im easy.. I got for Anheuser busch products... or my Red Bull and Vodka. I dont drink very often though.... maybe once every couple of months... and in a social setting.
