.dat files well yahoo history files

ok im backing up data on my computer and yahoo history is all .dat files... how i turn um into txt documents? or extract the history?
plz hurry its important

Well .dat (or data files as I call them) are ASCII, so you could open them with notepad (wordpad is better), but I doubt you would understand them... Mabye you could find a data file reading program or something, I duno.
