hi everyone.
i just build a new system. when i try to install WinXP home , after all that hardware cofig and loading the blue screen came out. after a few try when i turn on the power. the screen will stuck at the page where it says "press DEL to run setup, press tab to dispaly......." it won't run any more. plz help.
i already remove all the cards and leave only one hard drive and it still won't work ~!
my system right now is P4 3.6
ASUS P5WD2/P5LD2 MOTHERBOARD
PCI EXPRESS CARD (MSI GEFORCE NX6600LE)
MAXTOR HARD DRIVE 6L300SO
512MB DDR2-533 RAM

Does it get stuck also when you press "Delete"?
Because you must be able to press delete, in order to be able to go into BIOS. And there change the boot order, so your CD / DVD is boot order nr 1.
Save the setting in BIOS. And then drop your Windows CD into the drive. Reboot. And you should be able to install your Windows.

Then pull the motherboard battery for 30 minutes. This will reset BIOS to default settings.

Also check, so the Cmos jumper is correctly set? Consult the mobo manual. Check the video card, so it is all the way down in the slot.
