Laptop Power Problem

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Okay this morning my laptop just turned off while I was playing an online game. I thought it was a heat problem but later found out that the AC power was cutting in and out randomly for no reason. It just started doing this. I didn't drop it or anything like that. The only way I can keep it on is with the battery in it and the AC plugged in. Cause when the AC will kick out, the battery will take over. But I've noticed that the computer shows the battery at full capacity, and while the AC adapter is not plugged in, it still will turn off.

Has anyone had this type of problem before? Can anybody help me?

I think I isolated the problem:

When I try to run my favorite online game, after about 2mins, it will turn off.

Maybe the video card in my laptop is sucking too much power when I start running 3D games?

I doubt that it is 'sucking too much power'... but there is probably something wrong with the power supply in the computer... If you still have a warrranty, I'd call where you bought it from and tell them the problems you're having.. good luck.

What brand and model of laptop is it?
