Marking Bad Sectors? How to do this.

Howdy,

I have found two bad sectors on a computer I'm selling. I have the head and cylinder number for both errors found and would like to know how to mark these areas to be avoided.
The disk is 10 gig with plenty of good real estate. Is there a way to only mark the addresses found to have errors and not eliminate use of the entire sector?
I found these "timeout" errors as they were entitled using Eurosoft's PC-Check/Hard Drive analysis/ non-destructive read and non-destructive write test. This tool has no marking features that I could find.

Thanks for any leads.

Craig

ps: I wonder what Mark Minasi would say?

Goranpaa,

Thanks,

I will try HDD Regenerator. PC-Check is a real mode diagnostic tool that found these bad sectors. The most specific information provided was the head and cylinder and a description that it was classified as "timeout". I can't ell if this indicates a hard or software error. I've run XPs version of scandisk several times to deal with any logical errors. Are bad sectors usually found at the factory when the disk is going through final testing?
