boot order

ok my cusins laptop's boot order was floppy hdd cd rom , i had to set it to floppy cd rom then hdd to boot from cd. my question is why was it floppy then hdd then cd rom? isnt most orders like this floppy cd rom hdd? and should i switch it back?

some people dont like taking the .5 seconds for it to check drives before the hdd. generally, you will have less issues if the floppy and cd are before the hdd.
