Windows media player 10

I getting some errors when trying to view some streaming videos in "dat" format.
I have windows media player v.10 which i always use.
And here is the Windows media player error:
The source filter for this file could not be loaded.
What has happend with my player ?
It worked fine yesterday.
What should I do???

This is only for some of these files, not all, right?
