Upon installing and opening google earth, I got the message below . My computer is new so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be compatable. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Strange, as your SiSM760GX , supports direct X 9.0. So I really can't see why it should'nt?
Maybe Google screwed up?

what happens if you bypass the warning? Does it work?

I have tried and I haven't noticed any difference, but I havent used every feature yet.

Wait, have you actually tried clicking "Yes" to switch over to DirectX mode?

That warning message doesn't seem to be saying that you don't have DirectX; it's just saying that you are currently running on OpenGL mode.

The gfx chip on the aspire 3k DOES support Direct X, but only if you enable it.

It does support DirectX mode, but I'm not sure how that will be different from OpenGL
