It is now controlled by the Northern Alliance.
Taliban is on the run, and there isnt very many places to run to.

Now the news is saying that the taliban is moving towards the mountains, maybe where bin laden is!
How stupid are they? Leading us right to bin laden. There stupidity is a good thing afterall!

Now they are abandoning another city, can't think of the name though.
And the U.N. is already forming a transitional government in Kabul, they work fast!
I predict that Bin Laden will be found and either captured or killed in the next 9 days...

um, theres a lot of mountains there. its not like its one mountain to search. there was (maybe still is) a fugitive in this country that holed up in the mountains for over a year. and that was in a small area. pakistan is full of mountains, thats how the northern alliance survived the taliban administration.
well only get bin laden soon if he gives up, or by sheer luck.

I know there are a lot of mountains, but the taliban is heading straight for them. I bet they are going to where bin laden is, they need his help.

you still make it sound as if theres a couple mountains sitting in the middle of a plain. most of the country is mountainous. heading for the mountains is almost meaningless, except that it says they are leaving the cities. its like saying someone in illinois is heading for the mountains. now, in the us there are 2 major mountain ranges and several minor ones. so saying someone is heading for the mountains is meaningless except that it tells you where they arent.
and i doubt they even know where bin laden is, much less would deliberately head there.

If we do get bin laden I suggest we put him in a room with a bunch of gay men and see how much he likes it. then instead of killing him just keep him alive to be viewed by everyone.
I can see it now:

the reference to gay men has to do with the taliban and ppl with their belief/views shunning homosexuals as heathens/devils or something so it would be a torture basically

LOL, before we totally get outta topic and this thread becomes a war on sexuality, I think BlackKnight meant that the concept of homosexuality is against (or a taboo to) the religion of Islam.
