So I'm trying to write a proposal for school and I made a page layout in Word 2003 and saved it as its own file. Then I opened it up and woulld write one part of the proposal and save it under a different file name. Then I'd open the original layout again and write a different part and save it under a third file name.
Heres where the problem is. After saving the second and third parts, they would savbe over the previosely save files that are under different names.
There was something like a root or extension file (i'm not quite shure what this is) that also got saved originally calle M.doc. I tried to delete this, but then I couldent open any parts of the proposal, so I recoverd it from the trash bin. Have any of you encountered something like this? Should I reinstall office? or should I just work on one section and print that off (not my looking forward to that)?
PLEASE HELP!!!

Well, are you giving the new version the same name as one of the older versions? Word should prompt you if you're about to overwrite a file, but something may be wrong...
