PC Shutting down/restarting

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I posted a question last week about my computer shutting down and restarting after a power outage.

I ran a scan on my pc and it came back with 4 Trojan viruses (one of which says it cannot be repaired).

Is this the reason that my pc is shutting down and restarting?

What do I need to do?

Try a repair installation of Windows XP, explained here:

http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

But first uninstall your videocard driver in "Add / remove programs" in windows control panel

That is if the driver you use is'nt "WHQL certified", or if you are unsure.

When the repair is done. And you return to the Windows desk. You will find that everthing is as you left it. Except, you will have to reinstall SP 2 and additional Windows updates and the videocard driver of coarce.
