Something to keep my little bro outta this...

Is there a way or site where you can download policies or something to keep my lil' bro from viewing certain "material" over the web. I just happened to come across some of the sites my brother has been visiting over the last week or so.

Now given I'm no saint either, but I try to keep my web-surfing mainly clean. I tried using the 'Content Advisor' under the Content Tab in Internet Options but, I guess, due to the fact that very few sites have ratings, it won't even let me check my email & I don't know or remember all that my brother & I visit NOR do I feel like typing all those sites in. I'm open for suggestions.

Well how old is your brother? Is he computer savy? Will he know how to disable things you install? I don't think you going to find much of anything for free that you can download. There are many programs though you can purchase for about 20-30$

My neighbor uses this: http://www.digitalriver.com/v2.0-im...te/nn/index.htm

Remember, programs like that always search for text, not pictures, so there is no perfect program.
Famous quote: Kids need parents watching them, not some silly program.

My lil bro's 17 & not too comp-savvy. Oh yeah, thanx for the input but I can't really watch my bro all the time.

Oh yeah, gam3r, what's your neighbor's review of that software?

The McAfee PrivacyService program is OK. The only way it does anything good to block explicit sites is if you set it to block everything, and then it blocks some nonexplicit sites. But then it has user accounts, so you can set it not to block stuff for you. Plus its got a nice little cookie manager, file shredder and pop-up blocker, and it monitors all programs that try to access the internet (the only reason I have it). And its free to all comcast hi-speed internet subscribers.
