World of Warcraft video freeze problem

Hello,
I have a slightly unusual tech problem with the venerable World of Warcraft. It does not happen often, but once every few hours the video will suddenly freeze. I can still hear the sound and music in the background, and can even issue game commands, but I cannot get the video to function, nor can I escape out of the game to restart it. I am forced to do a hard reset of the system, which is bad for my computer.
My specs:
P4 3.0 Ghz
Geforce 7800 GTX (latest drivers)
1 gig Corsair PC4200
Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer
Any ideas? I'd even take suggestions on how to get WoW to exit so I can restart the system safely, since it is new and I would like to preserve it. I'd rather not have the problem at all, of course...

You could try lower the resoloution somewhat, if you have it very high.
I for instance, had about the same prob. When I wanted to run Far Cry at very high quality settings. I lowered the resoloution to 1024 X 768. And that worked for me.
You can also try a modified driver.
This will give a performance push and better image quality.
Just go here, and register for free. And you can start to download their drivers ( Xtreme drivers ).

I have used the Xtreme drivers for 8 months now. and would'nt change back to Nvidia orginal drivers for the world.
Also download "Driver Cleaner pro 1.2 and use it after uninstalling the old driver.
You can find it at guru 3d.
EDIT. Download "NV templogger" at Xtreme and check the cards temps after gaming for a while.
