Your right, college kids should know that. But the ones that go to college to learn, like the 3 in the video, wont :P

OLD. Sorry lol, i love doing that. Thats a pretty dumb question to ask on Jepardy, but its still funny.
Posted by: redwench
why would they know that? i mean, warcraft is a large franchise, but its still just the offerings of one company. its hardly something along the lines of civilization, the sims, or doom.

i dont watch jeopardy, and the one time i tuned in, i saw this live
one of the staff writers plays wow obviously
Posted by: gam3r
I think the people who write the questions for Jepardy are getting a little out of shape

Haha, nice. I don't seen how they should've known that though. The whole Leroy Jenkins thing kinda throws ya off. That and the fact that I, personally, haven't played Warcraft in a looong time.

Most popular online game EVER with 4.5 million players, and you dont think it belongs in that catergory?
Posted by: redwench
its certainly trivia and in the correct category, ill give you that. but the point of jeopardy is to ask questions of reasonably accessible content. its unfortunate they change the questions for college students, not all of them spend their time in a drunken stupor playing games.
and no, i dont think 4.5 million is a lot out of 6 billion. its just another game, albeit a popular one.

But it's rather safe to say that most college students these days will have friends who do.
I don't know if it's grown to the scale of AYB yet, but it's certainly getting there.
Yet, come to think of it, I still get people asking me what AYB is every time I wear my AYB T-shirt (that I got wayyy back in 2000).
Edit: For clarification, the shirt actually says "All your base are belong to us" in the back, and people ask me what the sentence means.

what is AYB?
I like World of Warcraft. I just recently started playing it. I find it kind of interesting that they would ask it on Jeopardy, although as Red said, most college kids probably don't spend all of their time playing video games. And it definitely is popular.

I didn't ever really find it that funny either, *especially* since the whole thing was staged. IMO it's a little blown out of proportion.

call me strange but...who the heck is leeroy jenkins?

Leeroy
