Word 2002 Viewing, Drawing Issues

Hey all, here is a challenging one ! When i add a drawing in Word 2002 e.g a circle , square or arrow and i scroll down some pages and when i go back to the page which has the drawings on it the drawings have dissappeared ! These circles , squares arrows etc are the ones provided in the drawing toolbar by MS Word. This is not an old computer its using Windows Xp and is using an Intel 829415G/GV/910 Video Card.
I am viewing the document in the print layout view and even when i change the view it does not make a difference.
I have done these troubleshooting steps so far:
I changed this option to see if it helped i went to tools > options > view > and under Print and web layout options and ticked all the options under the box and we could see the rectangles but not the arrows.
Did a detect & repair in Ms Word
Reinstalled Office
With the drawing i disabled the drawing canvas option and tried putting some circles and they still disappeared
Picture place holders is unticked
Also went to control panel > display > settings > advanced > troubleshooting and unticked the enable write commanding check box.
Then did a windows update on the video card driver and no new driver was avaliable.
I can only view these drawings when i go to print preview.
Any ideas guys ?

Does this happen in any other office programs?

Yes this does happen in Outlook, but then again Outlook uses Word as it's editor.

Mabye this is a messed up registry issue? I'm not sure. Download and run a registry repair program. Most of them are pay, but some of them have #-day trials that let you do anything in the program (scans & repairs) for free for the time limit.

Tried Windows update , its cool we got the user a new system and its all fine but the person who gets his old box will have some problems, oh well.
