Before you update your BIOS.
Have you made sure the videocard is all the way down in the AGP slot?
Checked the monitor cable connection to the card?
Have you uppdated the videocard driver at Nvidia home?
Updated the chipset driver at the chipset manufacturers home?
If you dont know what northbridge chipset you got. Download "Everest Home".
If possible? Try the videocard in another PC. This to make sure the card is o.k.

Hi!
If you happend to have a BIOS update software ( Either came with your PC or if you have upgraded the motherboard? This software is easy to use, as it by itself finds and downloads the correct BIOS. Then you just have to tell it to "Flash" the BIOS.
IF you dont have such a utility?
First go to Compaq, and see if they have such a utility and BIOS.
Or go to the motherboard manufacturers home for BIOS / BIOS update utility.
If you dont know what motherboard you got? Download "Everest Home".
Here you also have a guide for BIOS flashing:

Forget the serial number please give the Compaq model number (although I suspect it is a 6030 of some description?). My suspicions are that the card is dead so can you try it on another PC first?
