Chkdsk Won't Go Away

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

A while ago Chkdsk started running on boot. Not that this bothers me a whole lot, but even after allowing it to run through multiple times, it still is set to scan on boot. Where might I be able to stop it from running when I boot up? I've checked the .INI's in MSConfig.

Here's a page with some registry hacks for disabling chkdsk. Use at your own risk, of course.

It is set up that way already in my registry. Yet it continues.

I'm still having troubles and I've tried using the command prompt to unmark all my drives as dirty and I've tried registry edits. For some weird reason it still comes up every time, whether I stop it or not.

FadedMaster ,

hmm, weird. can you do me a favor and run salvation scan on the drive?

If you could link me to a download that would be nice, as searching online brings me many results, none of which are exactly called "Salvation Scan."
