Problem:
- Cannot login to Yahoo mail on notebook
- after entering userid and pw, I get "cannot find server..." on my task bar for IE
- I get "This page cannot be displayed" shown on screen.
Other information:
- I am connected via DSL
- my problem notebook is on XP and is connected via LAN cable.
- I have another desktop on XP and login to yahoo mail using the same id is perfectly fine.
- I have AVG on both notebook and desktop
- I have ZAlarm on both machines
- I have adaware on both machines
- I have flushed the DNS
- I have tried deleting the yahoo cookie
Questions:
- the set up is similar for both
- why is it that it works for one and not the other?
- has anyone encountered similar issues?
- what should I do in order to be able to login to Yahoo mail again on the notebook?

Not realy sure but it could be your security level is set different........Try checking that.

Just sounds like their mail server may have been down for awhile. Have you tried again recently?
