i just boought a lexmarkall in one x1185 and i believe i did everything right and downloaded the necessary files but i get a problem that says
the specified port is unknown
any help is appreciated

What Windows do you use?

It sounds like you plugged the printer first, and then the software.
Uninstall everything reboot and install the software again, then hook up the USB cable and XP will do the rest.

it wont install the software unless the printer is connected...and im using xp sp2
im trying to find a way to let the comp know that there is a usb printer there because it doesnt show up on my list...thanks for the replies though
