Questions about Mac OS

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: dude2k5

Can they only be installed on mac computers? I've heard of people having both Windows and Mac operating systems but I heard also that they can only be on mac computers. Thx for answering my question.

Up until recently, Mac OS could only be installed and run on Apple's own PowerPC-based machines.

Now, all you need to do is Google search for "Mac OS x86" and you'll find plenty of articles talking about people putting Mac OS on their PCs, even though OS X for PCs isn't officially out yet. But soon, it will be.

Sorry to use your thread dude2k5, but this sounds interesting to me. So, it isn't possible yet, or is it possible, but just not OS X yet? Could you put on OS 9 or 8?

It's impossible and will probably remain impossible to run OS 9 or OS 8 on a PC.
