Arial Black]I am installing the Verizon DSL software on Win 98 Machine The software does a system requirement check and comes back and tell me that I don’t have a NIC card installed. The problem is that I do have a nic card installed. I check the device manager and the Nic card is listed and states that it working properly. I do a start run winpcfg and the Nic card is also listed there. Is there anything else I can do or any suggestions I can try? I have already completely removed the nic card and installed a new nic card and I get the same results. Any help will be appreciated

the software they send you is not required to access the internet, its mostly to set up your email crap and install stuff you dont want. if the internet is working, forget the issue. if the internet is not working, the nic card might not be either.
