my problem is when i load call of duty on my pc the first disc loads. then it tells me to load the second disc and the load process stops. the music and screen saver stay on but the load stops. there is no error message or anything. i ran a test on my computers capacity and this is what i got...... need 32mb have 96mb............ need 100% directx 9.0d compatable have it.......... need a video card with hardware transform and lighting this is where my problem is i don't have that in my video card. is that something i can buy by its self or do i need to by a brand new video card? can someone please help me?

Do you know what video card you have now? If your card really doesn't support T&L, you'll have to buy a whole new video card to get it to work, T&L is not something you can buy seperately.

im really not sure. im new at all this stuff. i bought a computer from dell and told them what i wanted to use it for and they built it. where would i find out what kind of video card i have? the bill i got from them doesnt really tell me a hole lot. all it says is a dimension 3000 series intel celeron d processor 320 (2.40ghz) and 256k cache. it also says intergrated intel extreme graphics 2. does that help at all or do i need to look somewhere else in or on the copmuter? thank you for responding i can use all the help i can get.

Look in Windows device manager. There you will find what videocard you got.
And if you are going for a new videocard. And want some help picking one? Please tell what budget you are on?

thank you for your reply. i did what you said and couldn't find a video card but found this graphic controller. it is an intel (r) 82865G graphics controller. is that the same? if not what kind of video card would you use to run a couple games mostly war games? im looking to spend $100.00 - 200.00 dollars.

roughly $550 computer,
3 pci slots and no agp slots
Intel Extreme Graphics 2 -- think circa '97
not designed for gaming and barely upgradable

that said, this is probably your best option,
