It seems to happen at the use of memory, when i play that dungeon scenario thingy, i get no crashes, it only happens during a menu, a campaign map, or a custom game. I jhave to go soon, so all i can say is that my error folder is full of text files that have the error message "memory could not be read", or written, i have those too. I seem to get this in some other big games, but no error message, just a lock up. I guess BLIZZARD is good that way, huh? I g2g, please help, i have no internet connection

Well i had the same prob on my old computer. you need to run less programs at 1 time. and i can tell you have used up a lot of your memory,so you need to delete some stuff that you dont need if you want to be able to play a game with a lot less crashes.

Thanks, guy, for the help. I do not really understand why this problem would come from memory, however, even though there is plenty of proof. I have 512 MA of memory in my computer (or, at least, that´s what Dxdiag.exe says), and I have made sure, that even though i have bucketloads of adware in my startup line (like BARGAINS.EXE), I have made sure (With the task manager (is that ok?)) to end all processes running, i have even tried taking EXPLORER.EXE out and running warcraft 3 from the task manager, but still a crash and then a return to the black screen that was once my desktop. I have also tried (bein a memory-whore) taking out all of the quality stuff like the cool blue taskbar and running Windows at minimum quality. Also on my list to correct this problem was increasing my virtual memory thingy (page file, same stuff?) to about 5 gigabyte, even with only 136 megs of page file used so far. I have run out of things to do, which is why I am relying on this forum, I am located in Portugal, and i only have internet at my mom´s office and a internet-chamber in the town center in which you have to get in line for a crappy 15 kbps.
I could send you my Dxdiag and MSInfo output files, but i was hoping someone would know this problem.
If you have even bothered to read this far, i should already thank you, but i need help in solving this problem, so that even when i leave this place, my sister will be able to play games on the computer.
One thing worth noticing, however, is that my computer crashes even when playing DOOM II, not much memory there, is there? Also, Even seconds before crashing, and at the highest quality settings available for Warcraft 3, I have not seen any slowdown whatsoever in ANY game. Weird, huh?
C ya guys later, respond as soon as possible, I hope to see a post when i get to use the internet again.

Try downloading "Memtest" and see if you get any errors.
Let it run for 8 cycles ( 800%) before you can be sure your RAM is o.k.

Could also be a overheating problem. Open the PC case door and if you have a window near the PC open it to lower the temperature. If this works? You need a couple of good case fans. 1 at the front of the case for air intake. And one at the rear of the case for exhaust.

Nope, can absolutely not be temperature! I might as well have hooked this thing up to a cryogenic freezer, it is not going to get any colder. Even so, the problem seems to actually become less frequent after the computer has been running for a while. Also, WT- is memtest? where can i find it? Ok, I made output files from Dxdiag and my WC3 Error folder, so you can analyse them at will, when tryin to help me. illl check this thread again in a few days, so thanks in advance for the help, and thanks for the suggestion, Death.
