I was wondering if anyone here has tried messing around with EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena)? I thought about it, but I haven't actually messed around with it.
I raise the question 'cause I just saw White Noise. I had an interest in it a while back, but lost interest and of course upon seeing previews for this film some time ago, the interest was sparked again.

you mean the phenomenon of people deluding themselves that they hear voices in meaningless electronic data?

I guess, if that's how you wish to put it. I'm more open-minded to it though. I know it sounds nuts, but then again so did computers years back. Haha. Never know. We discover new things every day that were once thought crazy.

its nothing different from the satanic backwards lyrics of yesteryear. you believe in that too?

You mean you've never heard some of that? Haha, I can think of two artists off the top of my head that have used backwards messages in their songs. The Aquabats and Insane Clown Posse.
So, just because sometimes people thought there were messages in some songs, and there turned out not to be, doesn't mean that every time there appears to be a message that it's not real. The same could be applied to EVP. Just because sometimes people are hearing what they want to, doesn't mean that there's occasions when the messages are real.

backmasking as an 'artistic' employ is far different from the ridiculous claims that exist out there.
not that I have anything to contribute to any favor, of course.
