Some people felt like the word association was one of the only places they could participate. Some felt like it was just good fun and a great way to get to know how other people think. But majority rules and peons have to take what comes, whether we like it or not.

I am sure there are BETTER ways to participate in the OTS community than writing one word replies... from the administrative side, it's a huge chunk of data on the forum database that needs weeding out 
You can start another one of these topics in 2006 if you really feel that it's the best and/or only way to get to know other people...

The main reason why I retired the thread was due to administrative reasons, which I've already explained... it doesn't really make sense to keep that bloated thread going, if you look at it logically - it's not like anyone ever reads the first 600 or so pages of that topic when they reply to it
Yeah, you're free to start a new one when the new year rolls in... but this time I'll retire it once it reaches 1000 replies, and will keep doing it each time. For administrative reasons, of course
I hope that's enough of an explanation to justify me closing this topic... if you want to vent, use the feedback forum... kthx
