LoD won't install

When installing Diablo 2: LoD, it asks for the play disk, then later for the expansion. A little while later (when it gets to "D2exp.mpq") it says insert the expansion disk repeatedly.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Before you start installing the expansion, insert all the regular Diablo 2 CDs (all three of them) and copy all the .MPQ files from the CDs to your Diablo 2 folder. That way, while installing the expansion it shouldn't ask you for any disk as it already has all the files it needs, and it should be able to finish the installation.

Since it only asks for the play disk of diablo 2, i should only have to copy the mpq's from that disk right? I'll try all 3 first.
