ServU personal FTP and XP home

Hi,
I have a recurring problem with servU and can't remember fix for it. I have router and modem setup correctly, and attempted to set permissions in safe mode where file and folder permissions are more specific(servU does not take them over, to set it itself). I used the "everyone" user to enable read & execution of traversing files and folders and to list them etc. It did not work. Before I start guessing on which user group this is in, does anybody know if it is "users" or what? This is same prob I have had for several years and it seemed to change since windows 2000 on ntfs(I cant remember!).
My XP home setup ended up tight as a drum in comparison to default, I do not run "server" service etc. Any help appreciated.
