Mozilla Thunderbird: Controlling Outgoing Headers

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: maximus

Hello,

I'm using Thunderbird (1.07) and notice that the outgoing messages contain headers containing my internal IP information, alongwith the IP assigned by my ISP. It's exposing more info than needed, so is it possible for me to suppress that extra bit of information. As far as I remember, Netscape Mail (4.72) did not include that bit of information in the headers. Primarily I would like to tighten the privacy in headers as much as possible.

Does Mozilla chrome have any settings that I can tweak to gain tighter control on outgoing headers in Thunderbird? Thanks.

Cheers ... for the privacy!

Max
