Hey all. AVG keeps coming up with a warning that my comp is infected by avpe32.dll. The problem is, that that file does not exist according to anything else, such as hijackThis. I know its there and hiding, i just can't find it to even try and clear it out. Any help?

Have you tried scanning in safemode? Also, Hijack This might not find it because it doesn't search for viruses, just loads certain areas that nasty malware likes to put itself. Anyways, try loading into safemode, open an Explorer window, click Tools, Folder Options, View, then select Show hidden files, and uncheck Hide system files or similar. Then do a search for the file, this is all if AVG and some online scans can't get rid of it. TrendMicro House Call is a good online search. McAfee has one at their site as well. I also believe BitDefender does.
