I would like to know how scan old photos and restore faded color photos, can you tell me please which software is better to do that ???, your prompt response will be appreciated, thanks a lot.

If you're looking for something free go with the Gimp. I think there are some things you can do with that to restore some color to photos. Keep in mind you may not be able to do much without ordering new prints with the negatives.
