I have an ATI radeon xpress 200m 128mb card, is this a good card?
also how would it compare to a ATI mobility radeon 9000 128mb card( not completely sure if that is what its called)

Yes, for beeing an integrated card it's good. And somewhat better than the Mobility 9000.

thanks, one more thing, i am slighty in the dark when it comes to computers models and makes, and knowing which is the best. how good/bad do you think the Compaq R4000 is. I paid £800 for it(oct 05), is that a good deal

Well, I'm no Laptop / notebook specialist I must admit. But I read some reviews, both professional and customer.
And everyone seemed pleased with that laptop.
The only thing some of the reviewers seemed to dislike, whas the battery life. But that is a problem many modern ( especially the more extreme "gaming laptops / notebooks" ) share.
And 800 bucks is a good deal, as the price I often saw, whas about 1000.
So you can feel satisfied with it.
