im currently in the market for a new printer and would appreciate some recomends from ya'll. so what do you use? im looking to use this new printer mostly for normal paper prints, with the occasional photos from my digital camera. im hoping to pay under $150. I currently have a Canon i860 that just crapped out on me, but not after 2 years of printing bliss. I also like the printers that have the seperate ink tanks for colors, they seem to be more economical for me. so whatcha got?

I have an older Canon I550, that have served me well. I like the quality of Canon + the very good ink economy. And the fact you can see the ink level thru the cartrige. No way of cheating with the amount of ink there.
When it's time for me to replace this printer, I go Canon again.
This for ex.
Canon PIXMA iP4200 9992A001 29 ppm(approx. 2.1 seconds per page) 9600 x 2400 dpi InkJet Photo Color Printer - Retail $109.99

You're welcome.
Just glad if I could be of any assistance for you.
And it could be very interesting to hear your thoughts about that printer when you got it?
Cuz I'm thinking about getting the same model pretty soon.

Its not new but i use an older hp 2750 business inkjet. it prints photos as good as any i have ever seen and the ink cartriges are ginormos. i like the fact that there are four( one for each color and a black cartridge that is twice as thick as the color ones). add the fact that the print heads are seperat from the cartridge. I also have the second legal size paper tray added. I print 1-2 mortgage loan document packs a day (34-48 pages each) and 8 or so pics a week for two years now and i have only replaced the cyan cartrige and cyan print head once. Ink level reads over half still for all the rest. Its a little big but i love not buying ink once a month.

ok, thanks for your inputs. I went ahead and ordered that pixma ip4200 from amazon.com for $93.99 free super saver shipping! I'll let you know how it is once i get it all set up goranpaa! I could have saved an extra $30 by opening an amazon visa, but im in the process of buying a new house and dont want anything screwin with my credit score, which i worked hard at keeping high! thanks!
