Audigy 2 ZS soundcard

I have finally purchased a surround sound AV Receiver and was anxiously awaing the opportunity to plug my digital out of my audigy 2 zs into the receiver. But lo and behold, i only get two channels! I've tried all the different settings on the creative software but nothing seems to improve the sitatuation.
I read elsewhere on this forum that you can sauter to the #7 and #18 pins to get true digital output. But did I misinterpret that? Before I start damaging my card, I was hoping to learn a little more about the process. Perhaps a digital photo by someone who has already done it?
