Power Supply Problem

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Help I thought I posted this earlier but I can't find it. I am trying to fix a friends E-Machine the power supply was bad. I replaced it and now everything powers up but nothing happens. The monitor says "No Signal" and the system light in the front stays on. I can't shut it off by holding in the front power button. I'm afraid the motherboard is fried. Help please!

Could also be, that you picked a powersupply with the wrong ATX power connector? See picture.

AMD = 24 Pin
Intel = 20 pin

But if that's the case, you can get a converter.

And also check if if RAM, videocard is sitting properly? You may have bumped them loose while mounting the PSU.

I hope you did remove yourself of static electrisity, before you started to mount the PSU?
Otherwice, you may unfortunatly be correct about frying the motherboard.

Thanks I was careful of the static before I touched anything in side the system box. I have a 20 pin on the motherboard and a 20 on the power cable so they match. I just rechecked and reseated the RAM in case. There is no seperate graphics card in this E-Machine unless they removed it before giving it to me which I doubt. Any other suggestions are more than welcome. I hate to be right about the Motherboard.
