USB Ports

I have an HP Pavillion 743c. It has 4 USB ports on teh back of the CPU. How do I know the number of the port that I am using (i.e. which is COM1,COM2 COM3, etc. ???

None of them are a COM port. COM ports are serial ports. USB ports are USB ports.
What do you want to achieve? Are you trying to connect something to your PC?
