Hi everyone, wondering if anyone can tell me any information on alienware notebooks. A friend of mine (who seems to think I know a lot about a lot) asked me about them, presumably because he wants to by one. Any help would be appreciated. Never even heard of them before today...feel free to PM or e-mail. Thanks.

They make custom build Desktops and laptops.
But they are overpriced. And from what I heard, their customer support stinks.
He would be better off with a ABS , Hypersonic. or Sager, that seems to be good gaming laptops.

oh, yes sir, very overpriced. they are very very very overpriced. you can get a much better 1 for the $ you spend methinks.
in this case, ill even suggest a dell xps over it (even though i despise dell)
dont settle for Hp/compaq/gateway/or a toshiba.. they arent for gaming.
i'd listen to goranpaa
get an ABS or something custom made.

I'm not recommending this company since I have never bought anything from there, but the Prices look EXTREMELY good. http://www.ibuypower.com. If you check out http://www.resellerratings.com for ibuypower.com, you get some mixed reviews so I guess it's a gamble, but it looks like it's been starting to improve greatly. I'm not urging you to get one from there, but i do urge you to check it out.
