Radeon 9800 Pro

Dear Everyone!

I own a ATI RADEON 9800 PRO videocard, and recently I am facing some problems with it. It does not function properly. The problem is that it puts in solid vertical lines. I am 100% sure that it's not a drivers problem, becouse it'd been working very fine. And also I tried it on other PCs. If possible, I would like to obtain your assistance/help/advice on what I can possibly do with this product. And whether it is possible to repair it in some way.

Thanks in advance for your support and cooperation.

have you been overclocking it?

anyway, so it works fine in other pcs? have you tried other graphics cards in the original pc? have you tried a different monitor/video cable?

the most important thing is to make sure the problems actually have anything to do with the graphics card in the first place.

No I haven't been overlocking.

It does not work fine in other PCs, there are the same vertical lines in other pcs.

My old graphics card works fine.....

probably the grapics card is damaged... :'(

Could also be overheating. Open the case and if you have any kind of table fan, aim it at the card / case opening.

If this works? Then you need some additonal cooling.

Please have a look at images for the exact look of the problem...
