Chronic computer problem - no vid signal

Hello people, i'm suffering from dire computer problems. I need help since i've completely run out of ideas.

I tell you the chronological list of events. Playing World of Warcraft, getting alot of blue screens. Eventually I get a blue screen on startup. Then when i turn on my computer everythign sounds as if its booting it up but i get no video signal. Let me clarify this part more. I flick the on button, cpu fan powers up, case fans power up, HDD powers up, graphics card powers up... ummm everything powers up that i can see but i get no video signal. There are no diagnostic bleeps.

So i tried a new monitor. Same problem. I replaced my old graphics card (Mx440) with a radeon 9600pro. No luck.

Purchase a new motherboard, new cpu and new ram:

Processor: AMD 3200+ 939
Memory: 2x512 crucial dualchannel ddr400
Mobo: ASrock 939 dual

Same problem.

So I purchase a new PSU. A nice Zalman one to replace my nice Enermax.

Same problem

Tried a new harddrive, no luck.

Changed IDE cables, power cables, changed RAM around the different slots, plugged in 3 different harddrives, tried a new on button switch and tried my old ram. Not sure what else to try so i have started blaming my house.

Any help would be like a golden ray of sunshine beating upon the shores of Lake Murk.

Hello,

What computer do you have?

I had this problem a long time ago on a computer. It is fixed now. If you tell me what computer it is I can fix it. I have many years experience and I always fix them, I am in my 70's now and worked at IBM when they founded. Computers are there to help us, and it is sad when they need our help.

I think you may be experiencing problems with you computer memory chips. Though extensive testing of the connections in this area my show other wise. I will run a test in my lab with my computers to get an understanding of where the root of you problem may be.

Wait for my response.

Kind Regards,

Jim AKA (ComputerWizard)

Hi there Jim, i am thankful for your response indeed! I too have been working with computer chips for a long time. I first started when i was 16 at a little known company called RAM Parts (I think they got bought out by some early computer processor manafacturer in the late 80's).

Anyway, my computer is custom made and i shall be individually testing the computer chips in a test station so i can diagnose exactly the source of the computer malfunction!

Let me know how your computer lab tests go.

Thanks

We had the same problem recently and found it was the optical drive. Go figure. I hope you are able to fix this.
