hi

its about one week that i have bought this acer extensa 6601 with 15.4 wide crystalbrite lcd but it seems to be not workin properly.
there is a vertical coloumn with the lenght of the whole lcd and the width of 4 or 5 centimetes.rest of the lcd is normal but there is nothing shown in that column.i mean that coloumn has no color or the colors are unarranged.is it due to damaged pixels?i use it mostly as dekstop so it hasnt been moved alot.what might have caused this?does the gurantee cover this problems?is there any way ro solve it myself without taking it to gurantee?thanks.

It seems, that you have some kind of pixel problems. like a "Not quite dead pixel problem" lol.
You will have to contact the shop where you bought the machine. And see what "dead pixel policy" they have?
But I don't think you can fix this yourself.

i had a very similar problem with an old laptop. i took it back to the store and they said it would need a replacement screen O_O.
