my dell dimension 5000 displays error message Ithr prevuious attempts at booting this system have failed. can any one help Dell are a waste of time shut at weekends and in the week have to wait 3o minitues on the phone.

Hi!
You might be better off contacting Dell Support anyway. Seems they are familiar with the issue (Checkpoint [ITHR] error) and the cause ranges from the USB ports to motherboard.
