When viewing a monitor that is set to 24-bit color, how many possible values of each color, Red, Green, and Blue can the monitor render on the computer screen? How do these values account for the 16,777,216 colors that are available to the monitor?

There are 256 values for each color (0 through 255).

256 (red) * 256 (green) * 256 (blue) = 16,777,216 different combinations.

Thank you very much. That's exactly what I needed to know.
