i dont get it (hosting probs)

I really dont get why i cant host games on the warcraftIII b.net... i followed a lot of advice that was given to other people and their questions about not being able to host games, and of course either i didnt follow it correctly or it just doesnt work for my problem with hosting
and by the way... how do you close ports??

You know i think it just might have something to do with sharing networks or somethin, 'caus before we got the Network system for my network of computers we just unplugged the rest of the internet connections to the modem and was able to host on the only computer that was pluged in... but I was a seriosly laggy host but i was still able to host.
but i still do not know how to close the ports that i opened in previous attempts to host...

Never mind about that how to close ports back up thing, didnt know it would be on the exceptions list

grrrr i tried a lot of things! i opened a lot of stupid ports but i cant figure out how to open ports on my router!!!!!!! i just dont get it!!!

man i tried to use that one site that tells you how to open ports on your router... everything was going cool until it got to the part where you type in your static IP in the address bar... this is confusing
