i accidentally erased windows word off my computer and now i cant open anthing off my floppy, then i downloaded windows 97 and now can read things on floppy but cant change anthing on them, how can i get Win 98word back?

Hmm...So your erased Microsoft Word 98 off your computer and needed documents and then installed Word 97 right? I'm wondering why your can't get the data off your floppy...you should be able to open it on any word...or at least that's what my experience is. Also you mean Floppy Disk like the 3.5 inch colored plastic floppy's right? Or do you mean the computers internal memory which would be the Hard Drive...

No you were right I just wanted to make sure. In my experience you should be able to use those floppies with any computer regardless of what version of Microsoft Word they carry although I might be wrong. I would also say that if you have your files on floppy you should be safe from losing important stuff and could probably just reinstall Windows 98. This would be good for you computer also because it would eliminate all the extra files on your comp. Other than that, if you have the disk for Microsoft Word you can reinstall and you should be fine...

i forgot to mention i just installed win98plus ( i had win 98 before) and i still have the same problem, i think i did everything properly, about to give up.....
