Windows media player is not responding

Good day. 'Need help on WMP v. 10 ( Win XP ). I can open it but,
after any song or album I click to listen, it "hangs". All I can do is end
the program after w/c the error " WMP is not responding " will appear.
I tried sending the error report but, didn't work. Appreciate any help. Thnx.

Have you re-installed Media Player?

i had winmp9 on my computer and it just stopped working one day. here is what i did and it solved ALL my problems. i went to my computer/ add and delete programs and deleted winMP. the i went to microsoft.com updates and loaded winMP verison 10 and restarted my computer. all is well now. hope this helps
