I cannot believe this kind of thing happens how ridiculous that some are able to create such uneccesary %$#@. Like no one has anything better to do than search for a virus fix to rid their computer of whatever havoc and stress the said virus is creating. In my case right now, the virus I seem to have, causes pop ups that come faster than you can close them. It turns off pop up blockers and turns on the internet. Has anyone else had this happen? Does anyone know how to eradicate this thing? If normal protection didn't help now what? I would really appreciate any info on this, Thanks!
P.S.
It took 10 min to type this because of pop up interruptions!!

Try running a few online virus scanners in safe mode with networking options. Press the F8 key while booting up your PC (just before Windows starts loading) to get there.

Thank you, and at the risk of sounding terribly ignorant....which online virus scanner? I just did a search and there are almost as many of those as there are pop ups. Are they all about the same, or is there a favorite?

I like Trend Micro's Housecall.
I use BitDefender and Panda as my backup scanners, to make sure everything's gone.

If the virus uses the internet to get the popups, have you tried unpluging your internet cable? If a virus scanner doesn't do the trick, try doing that.
